Rally in Sterling Heights September 25

 Keep SHAP Open

Protest Chrysler’s Plant Closings
And Overseas Investments
Chrysler and its partner Fiat are moving relentlessly to close plants and permanently eliminate more UAW jobs. Already in the last twelve months, Chrysler has closed the Newark, Delaware Assembly Plant, the St. Louis South Assembly Plant, and the St. Louis North Assembly Plant. Their plant in Sterling Heights is scheduled to close at the end of next year. The Detroit metropolitan area has lost too many plants already. Enough is enough!

Join UAW Local 1700 members in Sterling Heights on September 25 as we tell Chrysler they must reverse their decision and keep the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant open.

Friday, September 25
Rally starts at 2:30 - Program starts at 3:30
In front of Chrysler’s
Sterling Heights Assembly Plant
38111 Van Dyke in Sterling Heights
West side of Van Dyke Avenue
North of 16 Mile Road (Metropolitan Parkway)

There are ten billion reasons why you should be concerned with Chrysler’s actions: $10 billion dollars of U.S. taxpayer money was used to bail out Chrysler and permit Fiat entry back into the North American market. U.S. taxpayer money should be used to protect jobs and investment in the U.S. and not be used to subsidize investment outside our borders! Join us in Sterling Heights on September 25 to demand that Chrysler invest in the U.S. and keep SHAP open.
